Have you been in a situation where the kids you’re working with just don’t listen? Maybe they’re your kids, your kids’ friends, or kids at church. I have a young man in my 5th and 6th grade church small group that’s like this. He does something wrong. I tell him to stop. He does it again. I repeat myself. It goes on for five or six exchanges, and then finally I have to stop and say, “Look at me. Did you hear what I said? Are you obeying? Are you being selfish? Are you honoring Christ?” Then, we’re good. Ultimately, we’re all raising cute little sinners who need a Savior, just like we do. Use these moments to speak the truth in love. Sin is death, but God’s gift of Jesus provides salvation to all who believe.
